    FORT VALLEY STATE UNIVERSITY

The meeting place will be the Meat Technology Building at the Small Ruminant Center on the Fort Valley State University campus.  We will have signs up at the critical turns as people approach campus.  We will provide transport for the group when we go to the Agricultural Technology Center where the bucks are located.

    Exact directions would be:

    1)      Coming to Fort Valley on Highway 341 from Perry, turn left onto University Boulevard just after passing the Bluebird South facility.  Travel about 1 mile on the Boulevard and turn right onto Carver Drive.  Take a right off Carver at the end of the chain link fence and continue to the end of the paved road where the Meat Technology building is located.

    2)      Coming to Fort Valley on Highway 49 from Byron, Highway 96 East or West, or Highway 341 from Roberta, arrive at a major intersection “Five Points” (near Blue Bird, Burger King, and a Shell gas station).  Continue on Highway 49 south toward Marshallville.  Just past Crop Protection Services turn left and go over the tracks onto State University Drive.  Continue ~3/4 mile and turn left onto Carver Drive.  Go about 1 mile and turn left  just before a chain link fence begins.  Follow that paved farm road to the end which is where the Meat Technology building is located.

The Meat Technology building is on the Agricultural Research Station which is located on the eastern part of campus, so the sun is a good guide early in the day.
