WELCOME TO THE SOUTHEAST KIKO ROUNDUP IN PERRY GEORGIA. THE FINAL CATALOG IS DONE. For those who have seen that the registry is temporarily closed, don't worry, they are just doing some office reorganizing.

 

FIELD DAY AND KIKO ROUNDUP SALE The Southeast Kiko Goat Association will have a Field day and Kiko Roundup Sale on June 10, 11, 12, 2010 at the National Fairgrounds in Perry Ga.  We have an interesting line up of speakers including Dr. An Peischel, Dr. Will Getz, and Dr. Jeff Burroughs.  On Thursday, June 10, we will be going to Fort Valley State Univ., just 12 miles away, to judge and score live, 50 to 70 lb bucks with Dr. Getz.  Then later, we will judge the carcasses from those very same bucks. Dr. Jeff Burroughs will have his 30’ mobile surgical suite available on the grounds to do Lap AI or implant embryos for anyone who is bringing does to be bred.  Dr. Burroughs will also be teaching a class on Friday on Cervical AI to teach farm owners how to do their own Cervical AI.We have many exciting events going on including raffles, live goat farm displays, vendors, speakers, youth activities, and free goat BBQ Thursday and Friday evening.All this culminates with the sale on Saturday of some of the best Kiko bloodlines never before seen at an auction. The Goat Auction

 Some of the goats being offered for sale include CPK Little Joe, Big Boy and Golden Boy genetics, Pango kids, Warrior kids, an Iron Horse black buck and more. The auction will be limited to approximately 120 goats, with higher percentage animals given preference.

Their will also be Live Exhibit pens for Any Goat Growers to show off their animals!!! This is an educational Goat Expo.

CHILDRENS ACTIVITIES

While at the field day at Fort Valley State, children are scheduled to tour the dairy goat facility and help to make cheese (hands on). There will also be activities for the kids on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Fairgrounds. This includes a live mobile exhibition that provides firsthand knowledge of farm life and how it affects each person on a daily basis. This program is being provided at no charge along with a mobile information technology center that is a high tech computer classroom.
